Debra Farris' Bio
8 year-old Debra spent her Sat. mornings watching Looney Tunes Cartoons, and can still imitate Yosemite Sam, and Foghorn Leghorn. After the shows were over, she built a TV tray fort in front of the big box speaker, listened to

Beatles albums and learned all the harmonies until her Mom called her to do chores. After taking out the garbage, she picked up her Dad’s guitar and started hacking out 3 chord songs that emulated the Fab Four. One of those early tunes made it all the way to her 1st CD
(Comes The Dawn) Can you guess which one?

She grew up on a grape/asparagus farm in Michigan, and has the powers of Dr. Doolittle when talking with animals. She still spends her days between taking out the garbage and playing guitar, and can cook up a mean pot of Italian red sauce with chicken sausage. She shares more food than the local soup kitchen, and if you are in her Auric sphere, you’ll end up with a Tupperware full of something tasty in your hand. Deb believes the devil lives in wheat, dairy, sugar and wasting time, but she sides with the devil now and then. She has been noted as saying she works at the speed of light so she can spend her leisure time watching the grass grow. She has both Psychology and Education degrees through genetic osmosis, and bucks off rules, beauracracy and whiners with rebellious coyote delight. Deb and her brother Brian cripple people with their berzerk genius humor. Lots of sleep and Yerba Mate tea keep her ship in shape. She works in her P.J’s, loves tropical weather, gives free haircuts (thanks to Grandpa), walks downtown or in the hills every day, and can smell fakers and posers a mile away.

Deb has a penchant for wrought iron, leather and wood in Southwest décor, and would have the sides of her Acura paneled if it weren’t so tres chic. Deb only speaks Spanish on Fridays, and has six part-time jobs. Her grandma said her feet were huge when she was born, then stayed the same size while her body grew around them. Now they’re small. She’ll do anything that’s not illegal, immoral or fattening to support her music habit.

I am sure there will always be something in the works that is a diversion from just playing with the blues band. Did I say diversion? Check out me and my wacky friends! Hah!
